Richmond Plains Nelson Blanc de Noir (White Pinot Noir)
£17.50
Taste
Exotic spicy finish, Tropcial and lime
Aroma
Green pear and citrus blossom, Rich tea biscuits
Description
Skilfully crafted from 100% Pinot Noir vinified as a white wine (without skins). Hand harvested grapes are very gently pressed. Slow, cool fermentation follows to ensure maximum fruit retention. An enticing bouquet of nectarine, pear and apple blossom charm the senses. Crisp, vibrant and pure, its racy lively style is beautifully appetising. Time on the lees adds a mealy/biscuity dimension to its character. Makes for a fine aperitif choice or as an accompaniment to lighter meals and salads.
- Recommended in NZ Taste Magazine, ‘Its faint pink hue hints delicately at its origins, and this wine was the first blanc de noir produced in New Zealand that was made with organic and biodynamic grapes. It’s great lightly chilled as an aperitif’ April 2019 (2018 vintage)
- Silver Medal, New Zealand Organic Wine Awards (2017 vintage)

Perfect with turkey
We don’t host Christmas every year, but when we do, this is what I like to drink. It has enough flavour to shine above the Christmas lunch and slips down very smoothly.
