The woody nose presents marked aromas of liquorice, honey and spices. The colour is typical of very old Cognacs, deep amber. The silky mouth of this venerable Cognac presents complexity, roundness and delicacy. The length in the mouth is exceptional.
About the estate
The Pinard family has farmed 17 hectares of organic vineyards around the village of Foussignac near Jarnac since 1969. Ugni blanc, colombard and folle blanche are used. The former is the principal grape variety, whilst the tricky-to-grow folle blanche adds a lovely floral character.
