Description

A modern take on the classic Sauternes style.

Petit Guiraud was born of the desire to produce a contemporary sweet wine that’s accessible and light – a fresh, modern take on the classic Sauternes style. Offering pleasure at a more approachable price point than the estate’s Grand Vin, the Petit Guiraud is elegant and lively, featuring notes of candied pear, pineapple and a touch of honey balanced by refreshing acidity. Aged for approximately 12 months in a combination of stainless steel vats and new oak barrels, Petit Guiraud is designed to be enjoyed in its youth, offering immediate pleasure without the need for extended cellaring. Pair with patés, strong cheese, crème brûlée and fruit-based desserts like peach cobbler or apricot tart.

Taste

Meringue with peach and honeyed tropical fruit

Aroma

Dried apricot and candied pineapple
