After a long gap we’re really pleased to re-list another organic Sauternes of this calibre. From an independent family run estate in the Barsac area, not far from the legendary Château Yquem. Produced from yield restricted plots of Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and a tiny amount of Muscadelle, this oak aged beauty will keep forever. Deeply honeyed and opulent, yet with bright acidity, a real treat on it’s own or to partner rich paté, blue cheese or sweet desserts.
- Gold Medal – Concours General Agricole Paris 2018 (2015 vintage)

This estate and castle is steeped in history and dates back to 1789. The 11 hectares surround the castle of Dudon and its park and the average age of the vines are 29 years old. Planted with 84% Semillon, 15% Sauvignon & 1% Muscadelle, the vineyards are ploughed 8 to 10 times per year. During harvest the pickers go through the vineyards numerous times, hand selecting only the ripest grapes on different days limiting the total production and focusing on quality not quantity. Each vine only produces a maximum of two to three glasses. Sweet nectar indeed!
