Organic Gewurztraminer Wines
Gewurztraminer is a distinctive white grape, traditionally grown in Alsace, Southern Germany and Northern Italy. The grape has a high sugar content, producing a white wine that is often off-dry. The aromatic compounds of this German wine are the same as those found in lychees.
In addition to lychee, Gewürztraminer wine tends to have aromas of passion fruit, roses, and other floral notes. Thanks to its high sweetness, Gewürztraminer goes well with Asian food–such as spiced pork and meaty fish. It is also an excellent choice to pair with Munster cheese and wild game, thanks to its ability to cut through fatty and oily flavours.
