Domaine Bousquet - 2017
Hedonistic wine from the great Domaine Bousquet made from 50% Malbec, 45% Syrah and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Extremely rich and full-bodied, yet wonderfully smooth.
Tupungato, the premium sub-region of Mendoza where Domaine Bousquet is located, has phenomenal climatic conditions. One of the key factors for a vineyard in Argentina is the altitude, and the Bousquet vines sit at 1,200 metres above sea level. This means the vines get the full benefit of the South American sun during the day, but the temperatures drop quickly at night, which maintains the acidity in the grapes, increases the aromatics, and prevents the fruit flavours from becoming too ‘jammy’.
