Description
Product Code: BEE11
Made in the traditional Champagne method, this is a delicate and fresh sparkling wine made with a classic blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier. It shows lemon, ripe apple and almond on the nose, and an elegant, Champagne-like toastiness developing on the palate and a long finish.
- Gold Medal, IEWA Awards 2022 (2017 vintage)
- Recommended in the Financial Times, Jancis Robinson’s Best Christmas Sparkling Wines 2018 (2015 vintage)
- Peter Richards, Master of Wine and TV presenter, “If you’re looking for the ideal aperitif, look no further. At the heart of it all is a revitalising freshness which gets the mouth watering and the mind buzzing. It tastes… English. But with an elegance (of texture, flavour and bubbles) that brings a positively cosmopolitan swagger to the party.” (2015 vintage)
- 17/20 Points, JancisRobinson.com, ‘A thick necklace of tiny bubbles. Fragrant – mimosa blossom and lemon cream. Mouth-filling and, quite frankly, gorgeous. Chalky, sinewy texture – it feels alive and as if it’s somersaulting across the palate. Cirque du Soleil in a glass. Hay meadow and intense, almost sweet, yuzu lemon. A hint of English elderflower. Crystalline and practically crackling with electric energy. A finish as neat and crisp as freshly ironed and folded white linen. Drink 2018-2022′. (2015 vintage)
- Tamlyn Currin, ‘Quite aside from the fact that this is the only wine made from grapes grown in London (Renegade and Cru both make wine in London, but the grapes come from Europe and around the UK), that it has green as well as genuinely noble credentials, and that it’s social impact is powerful, the wine is beautifully made. It’s worthy of a place among the best sparkling wines of the UK.’ (2015 vintage)
