Description
Product Code: DFB17
Jean-Claude Mas likes to tread a different path and has created a delicious blend of rosé and orange wine. This subtle blend of the two together brings the freshness of southern French rosé with the character and structure of an orange wine. Hence ‘ROSORANGE’! Produced from Cinsault, Grenache Noir, Grenache Gris, Macabeu and Vermentino, the nose is elegant with notes of candied citrus, orange peel and quince, followed by an appealing creamy textured palate that’s both light and satisfying too.
- 92 Points, James Suckling, “A surprising and successful mix of rosé and orange wine showcasing notes of apricots, honey, baked peaches and some lychees. Medium-bodied with a harmonious, lively and delicious development. Succulent finish. From organically grown grapes. Drink now.” (2023 vintage)
- 90 Points, Andreas Larsson, “Bright pale rosé with an orange/copper hue. Generous nose offering stone fruit, peach, ripe citrus, red berries and dry spices. Textured with a fine tannic backbone, generous young fruit, mildly spicy with good length and character.” (2023 Vintage)
- Fiona Beckett for The Guardian, “An ingenious mashup of rosé and orange wine that’s fruitier than a Provence rosé. Would be great with peach and burrata salad, or pissaladière.” (2022 vintage)
