Fantastic wine from Couronneau. Merlot-dominated, this Bordeaux has been made with ‘easy-drinking’ very much in mind. They’d probably kill us for saying so, but it’s got some of that New World ripeness that makes wines from countries like Chile so popular. Ripe, soft Merlot fruits dominate.

Too quaffable probably…
This is a great, easy drinking Bordeaux at an excellent price and has featured in my basket for some time now. Ripe fruits and light tanins makes for an ideal accompaniment to just about anything, or on its own, whatever. Don’t buy it – I need more!
