Coyam is a wine that’s synonymous with quality and is close to claiming iconic status. It’s a blend that changes from vintage to vintage, made up of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carmenère, Syrah, Malbec and Mourvèdre. There’s an unbelievable depth and breadth of flavour to this wine which unravels generously on the palate. Tannins are well-placed and give the wine the structure it needs. Very enjoyable now this wine will continue to develop in bottle over the coming years. Serve with a nice juicy steak. Certified Carbon Neutral
91 Points – Wine Enthusiast Magazine, ‘Dark-fruit aromas of this Syrah-led blend are pure and come with a slight floral note. A saturated palate is packed to the gills with ripe intensity, with tastes of blackberry, toast and molasses. Oak-based toastiness controls the finish. Drink through 2023.’ WineMag.com, October 2018 (2015 vintage)
