Taste
Concentrated, Orchard fruit with linden and green honey
Aroma
Apricot and quince, Lightly-honeyed
Description
100% estate-grown, single-vineyard, certified biodynamic Riesling from soils that are predominantly silty/gravelly loam over sandstone. The fruit is hand picked, then sorted by hand on a vibrating table. Tasmania’s ultra cool climate can only be described as perfect for crafting Riesling of finesse and distinction. By only using natural yeasts and fermenting in large Austrain oak vats the wine captures the essence of its terroir. Sleek, fine and tightly-wound it offers a wonderful panoply of exotic and citrus fruits enhanced by a dash of linden leaf. Neatly etched and precise, the dry linear focus is complimented by a mid-palate texture that adds grace and gravitas. It will age beautifully thanks to its pitch-perfect balance.
- Silver Medal – International Organic Wine Awards 2018 (2017 vintage)
- 17/20 – JancisRobinson.com, ‘Lime and green vineyard peach with a core of steel and stone, long and determined. Glittering acidity, tense, no prisoners. Lime juice squeezed from rock. Strikingly, fiercely elegant.’ Tamlyn Currin, February 2019 (2017 vintage)
