Pinot Gris is very popular in New Zealand, and is now catching on here. Its easy to see why. A far cry from Italian Pinot Grigio (same grape), here thousands of miles away due to climate, soil and handling it can really flourish. After a natural fermentation and ageing in oak barriques, it emerges rich, complex and aromatic. All peach, pear and Tarte Tatin, the sweetness is subtle and mouthfeel velvety smooth, backed up by refreshing acidity. A sumptuous wine which matches fusion or Asian dishes so well, or simply enjoy on its own.
