Full bodied mouthful of figs, plums and stewed fruits with a moreish sweet edge.

By leaving ripe Monastrell grapes on the vine beyond their usual harvest date, it allows them to dry out and lose more water. The result is a concentration of remaining juice and sugar, which when vinified to wine produces rich, succulent deeply fruited flavours, typical of ‘Appassimento’. This rich red has a sweet first impression tyhat’s both jammy and raisin like followed by a smooth port-like concentration on the mid-palate that rides on peppery rounded tannins to a warming finish.
