Certified biodynamic, this nine hectare vineyard of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier is located just 16 miles from the Vintage Roots office in Hampshire. Here the chalk-rich soils and cool English climate contribute to precision, minerality and vibrant acidity – similar to Champagne terroir. Four years of yeast ageing combined with extended bottle ageing has resulted in a fine medal-winning vintage sparkler with notes of green apple, citrus and toasted brioche, with a fine mousse and crisp mineral finish with long-lasting ‘Brut’ flavours.
Laverstoke Park Farm is spread over 2,500 acres of rolling Hampshire countryside near Overton. It is owned and run by ex-racing driver and Formula One World Champion Jody Scheckter. He wanted to create a biodynamic farming environment that would follow nature as closely as possible, combining 21st century science, together with the most environmentally friendly farming methods available. We are proud to be listing his top-quality vintage sparklers.
