Rare and hugely expressive organic whisky. The organic barley grown for this whisky uses centuries-old knowledge of how to work with nature, not against it. This is knowledge that was almost lost following the ubiquity of synthetic fertilisers and pesticides. The result is a fruity, smooth whisky with no bitterness or burn from the alcohol. The purest of the pure. Un-chilled filtered, these are in numbered bottles with the cask numbers too.
The Organic Spirits Company began in 1994 and their initial products, including their Juniper Green Gin, the world’s first organic gin, were launched in 1999. Distilled with care in the heart of London, their award-winning spirits are Soil Association certified, and in 2007 the company received a Royal Warrant from HRH The Prince of Wales.
We were looking for an organic whisky and liked the sound of this one. We didn't like the taste and didn't not find it smooth as described and imagined this is what fire water tastes like as it has a real burn.
