Description
From the Weinviertal region north of Vienna, which is famous for Grüner Veltliner. We love the golden colour, fresh grassy aromas and lush pineapple, sherbert and appley flavours that carry hints of this varietal’s typical pepper and spice.
- 90 Points, Decanter: ‘A tasty organic wine that showcases all the hallmark qualities of the variety: juicy ripe pear, spiced apple crumble and crunchier herbal hedgerow notes, all carried on a lipsmackingly fresh palate. Try with houmous and tabbouleh-filled pittas.’ (2022 vintage)
About the Estate
Quality Austrian estate sited in Jetzelsdorf, near Haugsdorf on 20 hectares. Organic since 2015, Christoph Bauer works with his wife Heidi to produce excellent fruit-driven wines, whose character is helped on by the relatively high lime content of the local soils.
