A hugely popular red that reflects the character of the Penedès region and Albet i Noya’s commitment to sustainable winemaking. A meticulous blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnatxa and Merlot sourced from upper-slope vineyards with clay-limestone soils that benefit from the Mediterranean climate. Carefully aged for twelve months in 225-liter French oak barrels, it’s one of those reds that drinks well in its youth or after some ageing too. We love the dashes of spice and vanilla pod that mix harmoniously with its juicy red fruit and Mediterranean charm.
- Silver Medal, Internationaler Bioweinpreis 2021 (2018 vintage)
- Gold Medal, Sakura Awards 2020 (2016 vintage)
- 92 Points, JamesSuckling.com (2015 vintage)

About the estate

An absolute steal at the price!
I bought one of these as part of a mixed case for Xmas.
By the time I opened it I had completely forgotten what I’d paid for it but immediately thought I’d opened one of my “special” bottles at over £20.
It’s unbelievably good stuff and at £10.50 an absolute bargain.
It’s big and punchy but not too much so just lovely rich flavours with plenty of subtle detail.
I’m going to order a case before VR read this and put the price up!

Restaurant
I first had this in a restaurant and it was superb. I managed to find it here online and I’m happy to say it tastes just as good as I remembered!
