Sustainable Restaurant Association

Vintage Roots

There’s no doubt eating out should be fun, and as sustainable as possible too. Finding out where to go and discovering new places to support, is now easier as the Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA) has developed a rating system, and awards restaurants one, two or three stars for their ratings against a wide range of sustainability criteria. So, whether you’re looking for sustainable seafood, an all-organic menu (and Wine List hopefully), or menu that’s local and seasonal, the Restaurant Directory from the SRA is a useful and enlightening tool.

Have you got a favourite local restaurant that doesn’t yet stock organic wines? Just let us know by emailing the name, address and if you know it, a contact name to us here at info@vintageroots.co.uk. If they are not already a member of the SRA, we’ll introduce them (it’s growing rapidly) to the concept, and if we’re successful in helping them become more sustainable by adding some of our organic wines and drinks to their List, we’ll reward you and a friend or partner to eat out at the restaurant to the value of £50 from us. Everybody wins! We’ll need your details when you make the recommendation to us, and then a receipt from the restaurant when we give you the go-ahead that we’ve been successful in adding them to our list of restaurants we supply.
