Situated at the foot of the Helderberg mountains, south of the famous fine wine region of Stellenbosch, Longridge's philosophy is to produce environmentally sustainable wines of superior quality. Biodynamic farming methods are utilized to the fullest, minimizing the impact they have on the environment. As Jasper Raats Cellar Master says "Our goal is to produce world-class wines in a natural way, applying the age-old traditions of natural winemaking and respecting our land, by not using any herbicides, pesticides or chemical sprays."Free-roaming ducks that waddle through the vineyard help control insects and other pests that may harm the vines.
