Giol Prosecco Vino Spumante
This pale yellow delight is full of persistent bubbles with a pronounced nose of white-fleshed fruits and blossom overlaying a yeasty base. Delicate and dry in the mouth and finely structured to show off its biscuit and apple palate without any one flavour becoming too dominant.
88 Points, The Wine Gang, 'From a family estate that has been producing wines since 1427, this organic Prosecco is 'Extra Dry', so in fact has a little more sugar than 'Brut', but enough balancing acidity so it does not taste sweet. It has modest bubbles and a slightly more serious, apple and lemon skins character than some, with a palate showing great finesse, yes a touch of icing sugar sweetness, but a raft of citrus acidity. A very classy take on the UK's best selling fizz formula' May 2015

San Polo di Piave lies in the heart of the green and fertile Treviso countryside. The uniqueness of this corner of the Veneto owes to the fact that San Polo is located in a natural depression, 4 meters below the rest of the surrounding flat lands. The man behind Giol is Vittorio Carraro, a talented and charasmatic individual. His Prosecco wines are simply superb, clean and uplifting and his Pinot Grigio fresh and delicious. The family estate has been producing wines since 1427 and as he says - 'experience matters'!
