AOC Cahors Prieuré de Cénac Mission
Brilliant Cahors from the south west of France that's all about power and elegance. Tha fashionable Malbec is blended with 15% Merlot to produce a very characterful spicy red that sings of the appellation. The tannins are surprisingly soft and supple for a Cahors. The well-rounded body complete with those deep smoky Malbec flavours are balanced by the Merlot nicely giving a long and persistent finish.
Chateau Saint Didier Parnac
Cahors is perhaps best known as the centre of the famous AOC 'black' wine known since the Middle Ages and exported via Bordeaux, long before that region had developed its own wine industry. Cahors wines are usually very robust and tannic, but this new organic estate produces elegant and soft Malbecs that are ready to drink in their youth.
- Stunning wine Review by Corrie
What a wonderful surprise, simply the best wine I've drunk in ages.
The first sip is almost woody and spicy, a delight to drink.
Can't recommend it highly enough - just lovely (Posted on 27/03/2016)
