'Fragrant lifted strawberry and toasty notes. Attractive and creamy texture, delicate with balanced acidity and moderate red fruit finish. Wonderful strawberries, fresh, with biscuit notes'
'Ultra-stylish, north Italian vintage pink made from 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay and aged like Champagne, on its lees (yeast residues), for three years. All strawberry and raspberry perfume and creamy suppleness with a clean, fresh finish.' 91 points, The Wine Gang (2008 vintage)
'Swish Italian pink fizz, perfect for spring parties. Made from pinot noir and chardonnay, it's dry but has a good depth of rich, raspberry-yogurt flavour.' Susy Atkins, Telegraph, April 2013 (2008 vintage)
Barone Pizzini is one of the oldest and best-known wineries in the tiny Franciacorta region in northern Italy, near Milano. In early 2000 Barone Pizzini extended its work beyond Franciacorta's borders into some of Italy's finest wine districts with their indigenous grapes: in the Maremma with Poderi di Ghiaccioforte, in Salento with Tenuta del Barco and in the heart of Castelli di Jesi with Pievalta. All Barone Pizzini vineyards, whether in Franciacorta, Tuscany, the Marches or Apulia, are cultivated with organic growing methods, adopted as guarantees of quality, typical characteristics and healthiness.
