Wild Thing Adventures and Competition

Vintage Roots

Competition has now finished

In 2012, we were delighted to see ‘Wild Thing’ as the wine of choice at the ‘Go Wild’  Charity Gala at Goodwood, at Pride in the Park in Derby and of course at numerous local trade events.  Talking of ‘far flung’, our UK Sales Manager, Linda Ward, was delighted when at an Isle of Coll restaurant, to hear a customer saying that she had bought Wild Thing on another Scottish island and loved it!

But Wild Thing has travelled further than that. In September one of our directors Neil Palmer journeyed to Africa for a trip to reach the summit of Mount Kenya. In tribute to the Born Free Foundation (and to prove he’d done it!) , he registered his ascent by fixing a Wild Thing label to the summit pole.  Earlier, Born Free Foundation founder Virginia Mckenna OBE, had taken Wild Thing over to Ethiopia to help celebrate the relocation of the little lion Dolo to the new rescue centre at Ensessakotteh.

Competition Thing
We are planning to develop the Wild Thing brand further in 2013. Meanwhile, we have decided to run a competition awarding prizes to the top 3 photos showing Wild Thing either somewhere in the UK or around the world. We’re aware it’s difficult to travel with heavy luggage and liquids nowadays so even just the Wild Thing label will suffice, or empty bottle – we’ll assume you will have enjoyed the wine before the trip!  If you want just a couple of self adhesive Wild Thing labels, then do contact us and we’ll post to you. Please be sensitive to the environment when considering any photos, we don’t want to damage local environs or upset the local wildlife just for a photo shoot!

What have I got to do, I hear you say?
We’re looking for interesting, quirky, beautiful bottle or label shots (but nothing offensive!) that will inspire others to make a purchase. Who knows, perhaps your photo may be used in our future Lists or newsletters?

All you have to do to take part is to send us your photos before 30th June 2013 with some key information. The photos and competition will be judged by Will Travers OBE, Chief Executive of Born Free Foundation during July 2013.
