Stefano Lubiana Sauvignon Blanc
This Sauvignon Blanc is sourced entirely from Lubiana's small, family-owned, biodynamic vineyard. This wine is inspired by the great vineyards of northern Europe, is food friendly and displays a complex mix of aromas and flavours. Ripe exotic, tropical, stone fruit and citrus flavours dominate the subtle herbaceousness. Medium straw colour with green highlights, the sign of a fresh, youthful wine. The palate is smooth and plush, again showing ripe fruit characters balanced by refreshing, tangy natural acidity that coats the palate.
Exciting Biodynamic wines from Tasmania, which we are delighted and privileged to be able list. Beginning in 1987 when Steve met Monique after interning in Champagne and deciding that he really wanted to make sparkling wine in the coolest region of Australia. They decided to move to Tasmania and in 1990 they found the perfect property, took a risk and put all their cash on the line and started a hard journey. Super happy and nearly 30 years later they have weathered the good and the bad and have achieved so much with many helping hands. The 25Ha vineyard was converted to Biodynamics in 2010 with certification achieved in 2013. Biodynamics provides protection for their environment, employees and customers from chemicals, and as a bonus it makes a better wine.
Their ethos is fairly straight forward - "we are focused entirely on upon producing small quantities of handcrafted biodynamic wines from grapes to glass in our cool maritime climate"
