Kusafiri No Sulphur Added Red

‘Kusafiri’ is the Swahili word for ‘journey’. And so it was when Swiss entrepreneur meets South African winemaker, a journey began to make a superb, organic ‘No Sulphur Added’ red wine from great local terroir. The resulting blend has enchanting aromas of mulberry and chocolate, with a lovely soft chewy fruit palate with hints of sweetness and smokiness on the finish.

Kusafiri wines is the result of a Swiss’s wine lovers search for authenticity, and the skills of a South African wine maker (from Stellar Vineyards), Klaas Coetzee. All grapes are sourced from reputable organic producers, in and around the Paarl district. This is their first wine, the label showcases one of the most fascinating plants in Africa – the Koekemakranka, a rare and much sought after species – much like the promise of their first vintage!
