Jasci DOC Montepulciano d'Abruzzo (half bottle)
Smooth and exceptionally drinkable, with soft berried fruit flavours, coupled with riper stewed plumminess and the faintest hint of spice.
Very accessible to all, its a pleasing wine that delivers easy enjoyment, and is a great partner to Italian foods such as pasta and pizza dishes. Abbruzzi is an area on the central eastern coast of Italy where much Montepulciano D'Abruzzo is grown.
We love this organic example made by the Jasci family, who themselves suggest drinking it with a plate of potato gnocchi. Serve at room temperature as it comes, in your favourite wine glass. This is a drinking wine, rather than one to ponder over too long!
Located in Abruzzo, Jasci is a family affair whose vineyards are planted on the hillside slopes that sweep down to the Adriatic sea. The vineyards have been organic since 1980.
