Feudo di Santa Tresa Fiano
Fiano is an increasingly popular grape variety from Sicily. Little known a decade or two ago, it is now a staple of restaurant wine lists across the country. When young, Fiano gives flavours of honey and blossom, but with time those notes will deepen and develop into nutty, spicy flavours that are nuanced and highly complex. With a beautiful mouthfeel and subtle hints of creamy peach, straw, and nuts, it's a highly-rated wine that deserves a place in your wine rack. Copy the Sicilians and pair this with vibrant Mediterranean fare such a fish and grilled vegetables.
Gold Medal - Mundus Vini 2014 (2013 vintage)
88 Points, The Wine Gang, 'Mouthfilling creamy peach and nutty straw flavours offset by a sustained mineral and citrus undertow. A new and welcome addition to the Santa Tresa range.' May 2015 (2013 vintage)
16/20 JancisRobinson.com - 'Broad across the palate but with a sharp citrus spine and, on the mid-palate, intense ripe peach and apricot. Almond taste and white blossom top notes. Lots there. Just a little bitter/sour on the aftertaste.' Tamlyn Currin, December 2014 (2013 vintage)

Feudo di Santa Tresa
Located in Modica, one of Sicily's most ancient areas for wine production. Here, the fifty hectare estate lies close enough to the Mediterranean to benefit from it's cooling breezes, this coupled with its sandy loam topsoil sitting over a well drained limestone base creates a perfect healthy, organic grape growing environment. An estate to watch, the wines just keep improving and the new Fiano is a superb example. Their No Added Sulphur 'Insieme' really does prove that 'less is more'!
