Domaine de Brau 'Pure' Pinot Noir
This lightly-herbal southern French Pinot Noir has crunchy summer berry fruits and a good, long length of flavour in the palate. Chunkier than some Pinot Noir's this wine can certainly carry more flavoursome foods.
88 Points, The Wine Gang, 'Vintage Roots is on the same vintage as it was a year ago and it's at least as good now as it was then. That's not something you would necessarily expect of Languedoc Pinot Noir, but the Brau Pinot vineyards are cool enough to bring out the variety's freshness, elegance and fragrant wild strawberry and red berry fruit.' Bronze Medal - Sommelier Wine Awards 2014 (2012 vintage) - 'Cranberries, blueberries and pomegranate, this has a light savoury streak, and is soft and juicy,' said Andrea Briccarello of Galvin Restaurants. 'Very characterful,' added team leader Nigel Lister.
Domaine de Brau
Organic since 1989, with appproximately 40 hectares of vineyards planted on a range of loam, chalk, marl and sandstone soils, Gabriel and Wenny are able to plant their vines in the soil that suits each of the grapes best. Blessed with the Languedoc’s predictable sunshine, they also benefit from the cooling sea breezes. A perfect combination for any vine to thrive in!
