Domaine de Brau Cabernet Franc / Cabernet Sauvignon
Hearty southern French red with a delicious mentholy edge from all that Cabernet. As it has some gripping tannins you're advised to serve it up with a rich dish that will give them something to melt into.
'Serve a cassoulet with this big, peppery southern French red, full of black cherries but not jammy.' Damian Barr, The Sunday Times Magazine, May 2016 (2013 vintage)
'Aromas of red and black fruits that make your mouth water, lightly peppery. Utterly drinkable, so juicy and refreshing without being simple. Lively at first and then spreads across the palate. Tannins are present but smoothly in the background to give some structure. Showing the best qualities of both Cabernets. Very good value' 16.5/20 Julia Harding MW on JancisRobinson.com November 2013 (2010 vintage)
Domaine de Brau
Organic since 1989, with appproximately 40 hectares of vineyards planted on a range of loam, chalk, marl and sandstone soils, Gabriel and Wenny are able to plant their vines in the soil that suits each of the grapes best. Blessed with the Languedoc’s predictable sunshine, they also benefit from the cooling sea breezes. A perfect combination for any vine to thrive in!
