Wine of the Week - Tom Cannavan, 'Rueda is a region at considerable elevation, north and west of Madrid in Spain. That elevation is one of the reasons it can produce crisp white wines such as this, especially from its signature grape variety, Verdejo. Verdejo can have very similar properties to Sauvignon Blanc, and whilst some aim to mimic the full-on, nettle, cat's pee and elderflower pungency of some Sauvignons, the organic estate of Menade makes a version that is full of vibrant fruitiness, but a touch more restrained and beautifully balanced.' The Sanz family have been wine producers in Rueda for six generations, so it's with history and experience the new generation of two brothers and sister (Marco, Richard and Alejandra) set up their organic Rueda project in 2005 under the name of 'S
