Do you like great wines? Do you like saving money? If so, this is the case for you! 2 Sparkling wines, 2 White wines and 8 Red wines. Save £39.76 per case!

There's a real range of wines here, all drinking well now, and some will keep well. The sparkling wine comes all the way from Chile (the first organic example of its kind), but is based on the familiar Chardonnay and Pinot Noir of Champagne. It is cracking value at full price, so you're getting a bargain here. The white, too, is a rare New World wine, the Walnut Block Viognier from Marlborough in New Zealand, made in tiny quantities. It is restrained compared to some Viogniers, but has hallmark apricot and peach aromas and a very balanced palate. This is superb wine to enjoy with a mild creamy curry, pad thai or Moroccan tagine.

There are four different red wines (two bottles of each). The lightest is the Sicilian Nero d'Avola/Perricone blend made by Santa Tresa. There's plenty of luscious fruit here, with some freshness on the end which makes it great with traditional Italian and Sicilian food. The Carignan from Chateau Maris now has a few years' bottle age, giving a wonderfully soft, comforting character to the wine, and is a great insight into the benefits of ageing wines. It's perfectly ready to drink now, but thanks to the screwcap closure, it should retain its freshness for at least another year. Quinta do Romeu is a blend of native Douro grape varieties made on a beautiful farm that includes historic cork forests. The most full-bodied of the reds is from Las Ninas in Chile. Our buyers were bowled over by this wine when visiting the estate a few years ago. Perhaps the wine went to their heads as they bought rather a lot, which is why we're selling it off at such a bargain price. There's no rush to drink it, but it is already superb now.
