Gutsy Pinot Noir that's nonetheless ripe and round
This lightly-herbal southern French Pinot Noir has crunchy summer berry fruits and a good, long length of flavour in the palate. Chunkier than some Pinot Noir's this wine can certainly carry more flavoursome foods.
'A convincing southern French Pinot Noir from a cooler north-facing site – medium-bodied and aromatic, with fresh, summer berry fruit, a gently meaty undertow and lightly chewy tannins.' 87 points, The Wine Gang (2011 vintage)
Organic since 1989, with appproximately 40 hectares of vineyards planted on a range of loam, chalk, marl and sandstone soils, Gabriel and Wenny are able to plant their vines in the soil that suits each of the grapes best. Blessed with the Languedoc's predictable sunshine, they also benefit from the cooling sea breezes. A perfect combination for any vine to thrive in!
