The Millton Vineyards Opou Riesling / Organic White Wines
The Millton Vineyards - 2009
Hedonistic wine with a vibrant lime and orange character
Opens with a flourish of candied limes, then soft ripe grapefruit, and a zesty mouth watering finish. Low in alcohol and semi dry, vine age going back to 1981 helps build the honeyed spice texture in the mouth. We think this is one of James Millton's most brilliant wines (and, lets face it, they are all pretty spectacular!). As with the Chenin Blanc, this Riesling is really very, very good with cheese; we've had some success serving it with Comté.
