The 2009 vintage was given 85 Points by Wine Spectator and highly recommended by all who try it.
A smoky and slightly savoury style, but not shy on the fruit content either. A great wine for cutting through fatty or olive oil rich foods.
13% ABV
Bodega Iranzo have a vineyard unlike any others in Valencia. In a natural gully know locally as the River of wine, and it lies in the shade of Sierra de Cuenca, this gives it a very different mirco climate to the rest of Valencia, it's cooler with better water retention which means the vines have less heat to battle and more water to keep them fed. With such a unique (not to mention historic) wine growing climate it's no wonder they have a natural sense of ecological awareness that no doubt keeps their wines so complex and well balanced.
