Red grapes in a white wine style! Nectarine fruit and a lightly spiced finish
Richmond Plains Blanc de Noir is an exciting, unique wine. Made 100% from Pinot Noir grapes in a white wine style. Its faint pink diamond colour hinting at its origins. Nicely chilled this wine is perfect as an apéritif or summertime drinking. On the nose the wine is very aromatic with citrus blossom, green pear and biscuit characteristics. The taste is full and fruity with attractive pear, baked apple, peaches and nectarine flavours. It has very attractive tropical and lime blossom characters with an exotic spicy finish.

Richmond Plains winery is owned by Lars Jensen and his wife Samantha. Lars has been committed to enjoying and making great wines since he 'stole' a sip from his parent's glass as a child. His enthusiasm remains unabated 'every bottle, every vintage and every variety is a new discovery… making me eager for more'. The couple are thrilled to be taking on the wines of Richmond Plains and they believe that Nelson offers the perfect location for producing fantastic wines, being 'blessed with the longest number of sunshine hours in New Zealand… combined with free-draining soils of ancient river beds… perfect for producing vibrant fruit driven white wines and well-structured elegant red wines.'
