De Martino - 2010

Fresh, delicate and pure - a natural representation of it's origin. Certified 100% Carbon Neutral.

This Carmenere is delicate and presents a deep colour. On the nose it has spicy notes, commonly related to this variety, which are nicely integrated with moderate oak. It has medium structure and velvety tannins making it very seductive and approachable.

'Quite creamy on the nose, cassis and black forest gateau. Nice spicy touches. The palate has a lovely dry focus, with a lean, sinewy, meaty concentration allied to dry and savoury tannins and acidity. Another very nice, serious style wine from Nuevo Mundo.' 88 points, The Wine Gang (2010 vintage)

  • Sausages and mash
Chilean Carmenere cries out for a dish that will melt harmoniously into its ripe fruit flavours. Nothing wrong with some sausages and mash.
