Mas Igneus DO Priorato FA206 / Organic Red Wines
Mas Igneus - 2006
Wonderfully polished wine with great texture and depth
Why FA206? Well, the FA refers to the fact that it is aged in French oak from the Allier region, whilst the 206 is all to do with the time. So, this wine has been aged for 6 months in 2 year-old oak. This blend of Grenache, Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah is laden down with black fruits with additional fennel and tobacco qualities. Ripe and sweet and utterly delicious. This wine nearly always comes out top at consumer tastings. It's not to be missed.
