Another gem from the Poggiosecco estate this classic Chianti Riserva comes from the best vineyard plots situated at an altitude of 500 metres above sea level.
Low-yielding 100% Sangiovese grapes, manually harvested and then fermented and aged in a mixture of cement and larger (used) 4,000 litre oak barrels for at least 18 months. This wine does not disappoint in terms of intensity of fruit, minerality and complexity. Absolutely delicious with notes of red berries and tobacco. Particularly suited to roasted red meats and tomato based dishes. Enjoy!
