DO Priorato FA104 Mas Igneus / Organic White Wines
Mas Igneus - 2008
Our only 100% white Grenache; succulent, honeyed fruits
50 - 70 year old Grenache Blanc vines yield the fruits for this extremely special wine. They use a technique called battonage to give the wine extra flavour; it's a process by which the lees (grape skins and the like) are stirred into the wine. A natty way to add more texture and character. Also aged in oak, the wine has lightly honeyed, crushed stone fruits and a seam of minerality running alongside the fruit.
