Battle of Bosworth Chardonnay / Viognier / Organic White Wines
Battle of Bosworth - 2008
Opulent with a lovely white stone fruit character
The Chardonnay grapes are harvested first with the tardy Viognier needing that bit longer to reach optimum ripeness. The grapes are vinified separately and the Viognier is fermented in older French barriques which is what gives the wine that lovely creamy, vanilla edge. The final wine has a strong tropical fruit character as well as a clear nectarine scent. Super stuff and a good choice with roasted pumpkins and parsnips and the like...
