One mouthful of this bountiful wine makes everyone smile!
Something of an organic pioneer in California, Charlie Barra has created a full-bodied red from the all-singing, all-dancing Zinfandel grape. Spicy, with jammy black fruits it weighs in not far off 15%abv, so we suggest enjoying it slowly with a robustly-flavoured dish.

Charlie Barra has been farming grapes in northern Mendocino County's Redwood valley area for 50 years. That makes him a 'seasoned grape grower' by anyone's standards! Grapes, grown organically at the home ranch, Redwood Valley Vineyards, are certified by California Certified Organic Farmers. Special equipment is used to till the soil, legumes are planted between the rows to provide nutrients, and other natural minerals are added to the soil. This method of farming replaces the dependence on chemical fertilisers and the use of toxic fungicides and insecticides used in most vineyards.



We're still working on some ideas for our 'Goes Well With' combinations, these things take time, but we're having fun experimenting!
