Simply awesome, Syrah-dominated blend. Takes no prisoners. Gold Medal and Best in Class at International Wine & Spirit Competition 2011
A blend of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère and Merlot that is the flagship wine Emiliana Orgánico. It has an inviting black fruit, truffle and spice nose and the palate is velvety smooth with blackcurrant and plum fruit and well-integrated tannins. Full-bodied wine that does taste best with food.
"The 2007 Ge Red Blend is composed of 61% Syrah, 21% Carmenere, and 18% Cabernet Sauvignon, all biodynamically farmed, native yeast fermented, and aged for 18 months in French oak. It sports an exotic nose of toasty oak, underbrush, herbs, a hint of balsamic, and wild berries. Already complex on the palate, it will benefit from another 3-4 years of bottle age and offers a drinking window extending from 2015 to 2022, perhaps longer." 92 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
15% ABV
The most prominent organic and biodynamic estate in Chile, the vineyards of Emiliana Orgánico (formerly VOE) are planted in three of the country's key viticultural valleys: Maipo, Colchagua and Casablanca. The winemaker here is the remarkably talented Alvaro Espinoza. Acacia trees are grown around the vineyard to draw nitrogen from the atmosphere into the soil, and plants are grown to make homeopathic treatments which are subsequently used on the vines.

We're still working on some ideas for our 'Goes Well With' combinations, these things take time, but we're having fun experimenting! If you've got suggestions of your own, or have particularly enjoyed a wine or other drink with a particular meal, or food combination then we would love to hear from you at info@vintageroots.co.uk
